With the appearance of the new 2016 Hyundai Tuscon car you get crossover SUV vehicle that has styling and features as a priority to all the other parts that make this brand new car. By concentrating more on the aesthetics they have managed to produce a car which looks good in all senses of the world, while the added features make it more useful than you would have ever thought possible.
The Tuscon car is still not in the same league as RAV4 or the CR-V SUVs, but it has the potential to one day be a part of the upper echelon of the crossover SUV segment. In fact this is the smallest SUV available from Hyundai on the US market and as that it is quite convenient and offers you a different kind of a style that other vehicles cannot. The vehicle is also a great pick for any kind of a family obligation that you need as it comes with better handling, enhanced fuel economy and more interior spacing which make it a ride that your family will enjoy in whatever occasion needed.
Perhaps the greatest asset of the 2016 Hyundai Tuscon is the exterior design which makes it a great pick and provides a more attractive look which will bring a lot of fans to this brand. It also comes available in four trim levels this year, SE, Eco, Sport and Limited, which will also give you more options as your pick here. The released pictures were the first initiative that gave us an insight how well the Hyundai Tuscon looks now, but the real thing will come after its official release date. 2016 Hyundai Tuscon exterior
The previous look of the Tuscon car was more as an economy car design, but now the 2016 Hyundai Tuscon exterior is updated with a more upscale look. The vehicle has been sculptured a lot on the outside and has been given some features that will make it a bit more interesting and much more extravagant than before. It is still a Hyundai and you can notice it from a mile away as it has the trademark hexagonal grille the sharply assembled headlights placed on its very front. The changes may be radical but aren’t in any way so big that they could change to look and appearance all together, but the car has a different tone and aura about it that make it much serious looking than before.
Looking at the profile, we notice a short greenhouse and a dynamic design. It includes the newly applied 19-inch wheels which combined with the other additions give the vehicle a look of a restless forward motion design. The back has been changed a bit as well and includes some dynamic touches that are done with the use of some horizontal lines. This gives the vehicle a muscular tone altogether and all in all make the car much more expensive looking than it actually is.
The upscale design is also applied on the interior of the 2016 Hyundai Tuscon vehicle. The car has been given a completely new dashboard which is a lot more functional than before. In fact, as the designers from Hyundai state, the design has been inspired by the Eero Saarinen’s TWA terminal at JFK airport. Maybe an odd place to look for inspiration for the inside part of the car, but certainly something that works and that makes it into the inside of the vehicle completely well. The inside is much more elegant and simply designed, showcasing that sometimes doing something in an easier way can bring better results. The driver also has a much more clearer view on the road now which exemplifies the enhanced driving potential this car has been given. Finally, the seat design finishes and completes the upscale look of the car. With a bolstered design and new comfortable upholstery with leather trims is what the car gets to bring out the best in it.
Depending on the trim level, the 2016 Hyundai Tuscon will feature some different powertrain setups. But actually, the higher trim levels are a bit of a disappointment when it comes to the engine performance while the base version is here much more appropriate. The base engine is a164-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder which does better in around town driving. It particularly does well with the six-speed automatic gearshifter in sports mode. On the other hand, the Eco, Sport and Limited trims come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that produces 175-horsepower, yet the engine does not offer a great response value and thus the base version is a better one.
The car gets some pretty interesting specs when it comes to the EPA rating. The Sport and the Limited trim have a rating of 25 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined, while the Eco has a performance of 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined, which is due to the wheel size. The Eco and the SE have 17-inch ones while the Sport and the Limited use the 19-inch ones. The SE has a measured fuel economy of 3 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.
