The new and updated Acura TLX for 2017 offers a spacious cabin and an appealing luxury at a lower price than most of its competitors. Its middling performance might hinder it from being the class leader, though. Some of its strengths include a generous rear legroom, an equipment galore, and a serene interior. Its release date should be expected in February next year.
The new 2017 TLX is largely unchanged but there lots of updates on its cabin and exterior fronts. For starters, the TLX debuted last year and continues to ride on the Honda Accord platform. This therefore means that it comes with a 109.3” wheelbase but wider and slightly shorter in order to give a more athletic demeanor.
Interior wise, the styling doesn’t disappoint. Of course you saw this coming, it offers a number of updates in order to earn it a place among the rest of the luxury-badged bigwigs. Under the hood, you can expect to find a 2.4L inlone-4 as well as a 290 hp generating 3.5L V6 engine. The engines despite offering a stunning performance lag behind in terms of real-world fuel economy ratings although, according to Acura, the numbers seem pretty impressive.
For most buyers, the Acura strikes them as a nicely furnished, well-rounded, and luxury sedan and not because it’s neither the fastest nor the most fuel-efficient. If you come to look at it, the Acura offers more features at a more affordable price than most of its European rivals, which despite carrying a significant price tag, tend to depreciate more quickly.
In other words, the new 2017 Acura TLX should be your best bet for your money, but it all depends on your priorities. However, if you are not short on the budget, other alternatives should be worth checking out. They include BMW 3 Series 2017, 2017 Audi A4, 2017 Volvo S60, and 2017 Lexus IS.
