With a welcoming interior, excellent driving dynamics, plenty of technologies and a variety of engines, the new 2017 Audi A6 is an excellent choice for anyone shopping in the midsize luxury sedan segment. Some of its upsides for 2017 include a sporty handling, a finely finished interior, strong supercharged and diesel engines, generous passenger space, top crash test-scores, and impressive diesel fuel economy ratings. Its release date should be expected early next year.
A first for the Audi A6 include powerful engine choices, a new automated manual transmission system, updated infotainment system, new 3D animated graphics, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, and refreshed rear and front styling.
If the refreshed A6 was a baseball player, it would take the form of Derek Jeter – a celebrity athlete who is capable of doing just about anything apart from selling beer and hotdogs to adoring fans.
Indeed, with its alluring design athletic handling, finely crafted cabin, spacious accommodations, and fuel-sipping engines, the A6, just like Jeter, treats its occupants (fans) well and looks pretty dang in the process.
In a nutshell, it has one of the highest levels of refinement for a class in its class. Under its hood is a variety of powerful yet smooth engines that provide seamless performance and solid power output figures. One of our favorites is the diesel-powered TDI version that propels this machine to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds while still providing impressive fuel economy ratings that stand at 29mpg/combined.
But regardless of what lies beneath its hood, the A6 still impresses with its agile handling, upscale ambience, and a host of high-tech features. However good the A6 may seem to be, the segment still offers matching of even better alternatives that potential buyers shopping in the segment would probably stumble upon during their search. They include 2016 Lexus GS 450h, 2017 BMW 7 Series, 2017 Cadillac CTS, 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Lexus’ GS 350.
