The new Audi TTS for 2017 is an amped-up version of the regular TT which comes with sportier responses, an agile engine, and improved steering and handling.
Some of its pros include a standard all-wheel-drive system, a finely wrought interior with cutting-edge technology, a highly responsive steering, cornering and handling, and a stronger acceleration. Its release date should be expected during the 3rd Q of 2017.
Well, any previous user of the redesigned TT will definitely find its performance-themed Audi TTS sibling impressive, and almost superfluous. It comes with all the bells and whistles that Audi considers dear to its survival as a brand. A first for the Audi TTS include an adaptive gauge cluster system that seamlessly combines the driver infotainment and information functions.
See, the TTS isn’t just for anyone.
But is meant for people who have a sense of class and performance. For people looking for more power and better handling, the TTS might be your best choice. It makes use of the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at an extra 72 hp than the regular TT which is rated at 220 hp.
For sharper responses, Audi invested its resources in coming up with a trick suspension system that lowers the ride height thereby giving the vehicle more stability and sharper responses. Another suspension upgrade are the adaptive magnetic dampers. Others include power adjustable standard seat bolsters, quad exhaust tips, and silver mirror covers.
Given TTS’s unique feature set and “mini-R8” looks, there is no doubt than it most formidable competitor is the base TT. However, the new 2017 Audi TTS will still have to take out other bogeys in its segment including but not limited to the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette, 2017 Porsche Cayman S, and 2017 BMW M235i.

2017 Audi TTS Roadster Engine Specs
The redesigned 2017 Audi TTS comes equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 292 horsepower and 280 pounds of torque. The power is transmitted to the four wheels via the six-speed automated manual system.
According to Audi, the TTS coupe should be able to saunter from 0-60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. This represents an impressive 0.9 second quicker acceleration than the TT coupe. Its curb weight stands at 3230 pounds.
Audi says that the EPA fuel economy ratings for the 2017 Audi TTS are 23/27/25 mpg in the city/highway/combined. Nowadays, those fuel returns are considered oddly low for a four-cylinder engine. However, given the level of performance the TTS offers, that shouldn’t be a major con.
