The broad-shouldered 2017 BMW M6 may lack the feel of smaller-performance cars, but its plush cabin, prodigious power, and superb balance and handling, make this vehicle an excellent grand touring machine. Some of its pros include a responsive dual-clutch automated manual transmission, exceptionally powerful engine, widely adjustable front seats, and impeccably trimmed interior with high-tech features. Its release date should be expected in the fall of 2017.
New add-ons present on the new M6 include LED headlights, restyled interior and exterior surfaces, and an upgraded Competition package’s engine.
It might be possible, but highly unlikely that have driven the BMW 650I model and thought to yourself, “Whoa! Man, that performance was underwhelming.” After all, the turbocharged 650i V8’s engine accelerates you from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. If you still find the acceleration of the 650i lame, the new 2017 BMW M6 is what you should be looking for.
The new M6 comes with a twin-turbocharged V8 capable of cranking out 552 horsepower and 502 pounds of torque. And to sweeten things up, opting for this year’s Competition package gets you an extra 48 horsepower therefore adding up to a whopping 600 horsepower. Moreover, it comes with two exclusive transmission systems: a traditional stick shift and whip-smart automated manual transmission system.
And just like the 6 Series platform it is based on, the vehicle comes with all manner of upscale features including but not limited to sun-reflective upholstery, and a luxurious-trimmed cabin. For 2017, the M6’s list of standard technologies and features has been limited to only a few optional packages.
