While you may find 2017 Cadillac Escalade’s alternatives to offer more refinement and versatility, it is an endearing and bold SUV that offers plenty of likable features and technologies. Highlights include a hush interior, a potent V8 power, an available seating capacity for up to eight people, and a stout towing capacity. Its release date should be expected sometime in early 2017, however, it is based on speculation as no one really knows when the Escalade will be offered for sale.
When the vehicle first debuted in the automobile scene 17 years ago, some critics were quick to add that Cadillac was trying hard to scratch an itch that wasn’t there. Well, the Escalade, despite the skepticism continued to grow both in sales and girth. Within this time, however, the number of rivals continued to grow exponentially and became even more difficult to keep up with the Joneses. Nevertheless, the Escalade, it is hoped will continue with its success streak.
Lots of premium features have been offered for its interior, and a contemporary, visible, and attractive design has also been factored in and is in line with the rest of Cadillac’s offering. The first two rows, as is expected of SUVs of this size, offer generous passenger space, and full-size adults can comfortable ride for long distances inside it. The third row bench, on the other side, could well be reserved for small children, as even smaller adults and teenagers might find their knees pushing uncomfortable towards the roof since the bench is mounted on a low position relative to the floor.
The exterior remains virtually unchanged from the previous model but that not to say it has lost its commanding and bold stance. It still returns with its imposing and blockier styling and more conspicuous flourishes as before. Perhaps one of the conspicuous centerpiece of the Escalade is its interior appeal. It now features a more accurate voice recognition system, the CUE is now updated and offers faster response times in comparison to the previous model.
Certainly, the Escalade is a desirable choice for a three-row traditional luxury SUV. But even so, foibles do exist, though. Some of these include a jiggly ride quality, a cramped kids-only third row seat, and a high load and cargo floor height.
Thus, you may find yourself inclined to look at what the existing competition offers before deciding. Rivals include the fuel efficient, voluptuous third-row seat, and better driving 2017 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, the 2017 Lexus LX 470, the 2017 Lincoln Navigator, and the off-road-serious 2017 Land Rover Range Rover.

2017 Cadillac Escalade Engine Specs
Inspiration for the 2017 Cadillac Escalade is derived from a 6.2L V8 juggernaut that offers 420 hp and 460 lbs. ft. of torque. Power is delivered to either the FWD or the AWD via the standard eight-speed automatic transmission system.
According to EPA stats, the RWD should be able to return fuel economy ratings of 15/22/17 mpg in the city/highway/combined, and 15/21/17 mpg for the AWD.
Zipping from 0-60 mph with the 4WD Escalade only requires 6.1 seconds – an impressive time considering it’s a large SUV capable of towing about 8,300 lbs. when fully loaded.
