With an up-to-date and spacious cabin, and an available turbocharged V6 engine, the 2017 Cadillac XTS is a compelling choice in the full-size luxury sedan segment. Additionally, it comes with top safety scores, an available all-wheel drive system, impressive list of high-tech features, and cushy yet controlled ride. Its release according to recent news should be expected in May 2017.
This is the only old school front-wheel drive Caddy model available, and will now be entering its six year of production with the 2017 XTS. Known for its interior roominess and comfort, the XTS will undoubtedly endear itself to shoppers looking for these most sought after traits. However, it does this while jeopardizing its handling and performance.
For the better part of it, the XTS is essentially a carryover model and it requires quite a bit of effort to notice its changes. Its interior, however, comes with noticeable changes especially if you are tech savvy. For one, the center console comes with several additions such as a revised CUE infotainment system, a wireless cell phone charger, a new surround-view camera, and a remarkable array of high-tech features to make your life inside its cabin a memorable one.
In terms of the available competition, the 2017 Chrysler 300 offers the most formidable front. With its optional AWD, a variety of V6 and V8 power, and awesome list of upscale features, the corporate sedan is among our favorites in the segment. You will also find the 2017 Hyundai Genesis amazing particularly due to its recent redesign and attractive cabin layout.
Other possible contenders in the segment include the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the 2017 Audi A6 sedans. Even in the face of luxury-and performance laden competition, the 2017 Cadillac XTS is still a solid choice in the segment.
