Both the 2017 Citroen C4 Picasso and the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso have been updated immensely for this model year. Here, however, we’re going to cover everything that concerns the Citroen C4 Picasso updates, performance, release date, price, and its engine specifications. A detailed review for the “Grand” version will be offered separately.
For starters, the new model belongs to the second generation of the model series that was launched three years ago. And judging by the exponential growth both in sales and girth, it is without a doubt immensely successful. Some of its strengths include plenty of dynamism and distinction, and a remarkable design. For 2017, the new model seeks to even consolidate the gains it has achieved this far by offering even more features and updated to its existing résumé.
Some of the new features to expect include four distinct interior design schemes, customization opportunities, a two-tone roof, and a new front end. Again, it comes with new technologies including the Citroen Advanced Comfort program, a new engine that offers more horsepower, the Hands-Free Tailgate system, and the Citroen Connect Navigation system.
To make it even more distinct in its class, the new model comes with a unique light signature front and rear, dynamic lines, and expressive, strong styling. The exterior dimensions have remained unchanged over the previous model. However, the exterior design has combined with class-leading boot volume and interior spaciousness to offer the C4 Picasso the much-needed practicality occupants crave for in a family vehicle.
The Citroen C4 Picasso interior offers a light-filled, pure ambience and is designed in a loft spirit. Furthermore, the updated materials further enhance the perception of well-being and quality. And thanks to the EMP2 platform that underpins its construction architecture, the new model manages to offer a well-balanced road performance.
For easy drivability and a relaxed driving experience, the new model also comes with technologies such as adaptive cruise control, park assist, and vision 360. Even with the level of updates the vehicle under review has had, the world of MPVs is riddled with cut-throat competition that requires automakers to continuously indulge in innovations in order to keep up with the Joneses. As such, Citroen came up with key pillars that it hopes will help propel the Citroen C4 Picasso 2017 and all future models even further in the rankings. These include: attractive styling, body design dynamism, well-being for all, performance, and comfort benchmarking.
Well, while it may be too early to offer a detailed opinion on whether or not the pillars will work, there’s no doubt that Citroen is dedicated in graduating the C4 Picasso to a whole different level. As they say – only time will tell! Culpable rivals include the Kia Carnival, Kia Rondo, Honda Odyssey, Peugeot 5008, and the Ssangyong Stavic.
