The all-new 2017 Jaguar XF retains the sharp handling, design and precision of its outgoing model while adding an improved luxury interior establishment and entertainment options. Some of the highlights to expect from the 2017 model include an advanced technology offering, a comfortable ride, a well-trimmed interior and a responsive steering and handling. Its release date should be expected during the 2nd half of 2016.
When starting off shopping for a luxury midsize sedan, the German contingent is hard to ignore, however, the new Jaguar XF for 2017 provides a redesigned British appeal that most buyers will find intoxicating.
For 2017, the fresh vehicle offers more interior space which means more head-and legroom due to its longer wheelbase despite having the same exterior dimensions as before. Also, according to Jaguar, the new XF will come with a lightweight chassis primarily made of aluminum. This therefore means a more fuel-efficient engine and better handling.
The exterior styling, however, doesn’t have much to offer in terms of the styling but offers a nip here and tuck there, nonetheless. Jaguar wouldn’t have wanted to upset the eye-catching exterior shape appeal, and therefore didn’t offer any substantial changes.
Not everything is fresh for the 2017 XF, the engine is one such feature than remains unaltered. Buyers will get a 3.0L Supercharged V6 engine rated at 340 hp and under its hood. Another version of the same engine will provide an extra 40 horsepower.
Interior wise, luckily, the new XF for 2017 doesn’t suffer from the same emotional impact as most of its predecessors. For example, upon entering the cabin, you’ll immediately notice an ignition button that mimics a heartbeat which when pressed causes a rotary shift dial to rise from the center stack.
In terms of the rivals, the new 2017 Jaguar XF will have to put a brave face against the most notable German bogeys. They include the 2017 Audi A6, the 2017 Cadillac CT6, the 2017 BMW 5 Series, and the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

You are at liberty of choosing to have either a FWD or an all-wheel-drive system fitted on your XF. An eight-speed auto is the default transmission system.
