Likewise, the Latitude comes bundled with the Cold Weather package and the Convenience/Comfort package. The latter comes bundled with an eight-way power driver seat, automatic climate control (dual-zone), keyless ignition and entry, and a power liftgate. The SafetyTec Group package adds heated mirrors, a satellite radio, an auto-diming rearview mirror, rear parking sensors, rear-cross traffic alert, and a blind-spot monitoring.
The Trailhawk – an off-road-themed trim comes with a wider 17” wheels, a four-wheel-drive, all-terrain tires, hill descent and ascent control, unique exterior trim, satellite radio, an 8.4” touchscreen display, leather upholstery, a larger driver information display, skid plates, and a locking rear differential.

The plush Limited trim comes equipped with a leather upholstery, automatic climate control (dual-zone), 18” alloy wheels, a wiper de-icer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power driver seat, leather upholstery, keyless ignition and entry, upgraded side mirrors, and remote ignition.

2017 Jeep Cherokee Engine Specs

The base engine is a 2.4L four-cylinder engine good for 171 lbs. of torque and 184 horsepower.

Standard on the trim but optional for the Sport is a 3.2L V6 engine rated at 271 horsepower and 239 lbs. of torque. With both engines, the default transmission system is a nine-speed auto.

The V6-powered Cherokee offers a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds when properly equipped.
The EPA fuel consumption estimates for the four-cylinder FWD Cherokee stand at 22/31/25 mpg in the city/highway/combined, and 21/29/24 mpg with the V6 FWD models.

During our own test drive, the Cherokee with a V6 powerplant accelerated from 0-60 mph in just 7.4 seconds, and half a second more with the V6 Trailhawk.
