With a generous standard equipment galore, cushy ride with the optional adaptive suspension, quiet cabin, and good value, the 2017 Lincoln MKC is a solid choice for those looking for a comfortable compact luxury crossover. However, the average performance and a cramped cabin may make customers look elsewhere. Its date of release should be expected in September 2017, say credible sources. Below you can find out more about the release date and the gallery of photos. Enjoy our review!
For years now, Lincoln has continued to borrow heavily from Ford which happens to be its parent company. On top of that it further adds premium details such as leather and a more prestigious badge, the result is a premium luxury crossover able to rival the likes of BMW, Audi, and Mercedes.
With the 2017 Lincoln MKC however, nothing feels like Ford, everything has a unique taste ranging from the special exterior details to the premium interior tidbits. It offers two available turbocharged engines, a unique sheet metal. A premium cabin, and an optional adjustable suspension system make it dissimilar in every facet to the Escape despite sharing the same mechanical underpinnings.
The change was forthcoming and we applaud the efforts Lincoln has invested in invigorating the MKC. Lots of likable features are available like the extensive use of sound-deadening materials, and Active noise cancellation systems which result in a superb and seriously quiet vehicle. Buyers will not therefore experience any distressing ride quality even in poorly maintained urban streets. Couple that to the rock-bottom starting price and you’ve got yourself plenty of value.
Notwithstanding the glamour, there are several areas which should have been addressed better by Lincoln such as the snug backseat, grabby brakes, a nondescript handling and performance, and a modest cargo capacity. That said, it would be great to sample other alternatives in the segment. The 2017 BMW X3 and 2017 Acura RDX, for instance, offer superior cargo space, acceleration, and excellent seat comfort.
Also, the 2017 Audi Q5, the 2017 Lexus NX200t and the 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport are strong contenders. In recent memory though, the 2017 Lincoln MKC is one of the best Lincoln SUV you can get. However, these rivals could very well, depending on your priorities, be what you are looking for.
