2017 Subaru WRX STI Review

Whenever it comes to handling, performance, and power, the 2017 Subaru WRX has the right stuff, and with an all-time AWD, the added traction is definitely a bonus. The overall cabin refinement, however, remains an unaddressed issue. Some of its strengths include many premium safety equipment options available, a brisk acceleration, superb steering and handling, and improved traction availed by the standard AWD system. Its date of release should be expected in March next year as per the rumors going round the internet.

Coming off a redesign only a few years ago, the new STI now heaps more performance and power than ever before. With a 0-60 mph acceleration in less than six seconds, the engine base is probably the best in the segment today. Nimble handling, clear-cut steering, and a standard AWD make any twisty adventures fun. The 2017 STI basically ups the ante effortlessly once again.

Other downsides include a rough ride, and significant road and wind noise even at average speeds. Well, who really cares? Maybe the noisy and exciting rumbling of the engines is probably one of the reason why Subaru has such a fanatic following. If it doesn’t fit your priorities, some alternatives to consider include the 2017 Ford Focus RS, 2017 Mini Cooper JCW, and the 2017 Golf GTI.
