Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra Finally Going to Update the Line?

Adding a 2019 Toyota Tundra could be game-changer for the brand. The current Tundra has been around since 2007 and has only been given a smallish update in 2014. So it actually makes it the oldest full-size truck on the current market.

The Tundra desperately needs a makeover and a big one as well. So it is not at all impossible to think that a 2019 model Tundra could be made. It does seem about right to do it. So we have comprised a rendering and an analysis on how this version could come to be.

Typically Toyota does not go all out and does not change too much when it comes to updates nor new generation models. With this one as a next-gen car, we are expecting the same kind of an update that they do with other cars. However they are probably going to approach this as they always do.That is, in a calculated fashion and that way try to revive the brand.

There is a significant job they are doing with the powertrain. There are some rumors that a V-8 engine is getting some additions. Doing some work on it could imply that they want to use this engine for the updated Tundra. The newest D-4S dual fuel injection technology could be the key here. This could function well for a new Tundra vehicle.

Here is our take on the whole 2019 Toyota Tundra matter.

Toyota is usually skimpy when it comes to drastically changing the car. Nevertheless, they did do a great job with the Camry model. This also leads us to believe that the Tundra may be given a similar update. It also helps to new that the Tacoma has only been revamped in 2016. This would lead us to believe that they might use the same type of elements for the Tundra.

If they follow the Tacoma formula, they would change the front fascia as well as the rear one. However, they would leave the doors and the roof intact. It will probably leave the reserved style of the car. But it will add also some pieces familiar from some other Toyota models.

The headlights are going to have the familiar Tacoma style. It will be followed by the emphatic fender bulges while LED features. This will also be a part of the front end. They might redesign lower bumper to bring a more masculine effect from the car.

We also see the new 2019 Toyota Tundra with bigger wheels. The currently offered vehicle gives us 19-inch ones. Yet, the competition has bigger ones at their display. This leads us to believe that we might get 20-inch or even 22-inch ones as some rivaling models have.

If not extending the cargo bed, we would like to see some other innovations present for it. It would be great to add a power outlet and a new tie-down system. These are just some wishes that we have. However, they are very useful for any user of a Tundra truck.

It would be very hard to predict the interior of the 2019 Toyota Tundra. Although we are anticipating that they share other ideas from their newer Toyota products, it is highly unlikely that they transfer them from the Tacoma vehicle.

Although the Tacoma is the latest one which was updated and received a more modern approach, historically speaking Tundra and the Tacoma have not shared any details. A more likely source is the Sequoia which could be a good way for the Tundra to update the inside.

What we would like to see is a whole new and updated infotainment system which comes with newest gauges. They might take some cues from other Ford and GM vehicles which have all kinds of amenities and a plethora of USB ports which this one could use to enhance its connectivity.

As far as spacing goes, we are not fans of this car growing larger It already possess enough headroom and shoulder room so the only thing that they might do is to address the comfort using the seats and pieces on the inside. A taller bench might make its way inside while some newly offered materials could be used as well.

Under the hood of the 2019 Toyota Tundra we have the biggest mystery of them all. There is not telling what they might do here, but the most that we can expect is that they update the current lineup of engines. The outgoing Tundra uses two engines, the 4.6-liter V-8 and the 5.7-liter V-8.

These engines have done their dues, that is for sure, and we feel that they are in dire need for an update. Transmission options include a 5-speed and 6-speed automatic and the vehicle also has an electronic 4WD system.

In order to update these two old engines we are probably looking at updates which include Toyota’s D4-S direct  fuel injection and port injection. It will also see the transfer of the current Dual VVT-i variable valve timing system.

The engines need some improvement in all areas and we are talking both power, fuel efficiency and also towing capacity. That is why the primary engine should expand to 394 horses and 383 pound-feet of twist, which the stronger one can go up to 400 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

Possible Pricing and Release Date

If we are ever to get the 2019 Toyota Tundra that this is the perfect time. It has been a long time since the car has had any real work done. We do acknowledge the last update but simply see that it would take a lot more for this vehicle to get what it deserves. We expect the possible release date for 2019. However it is still not clear when exactly.

As for the price of the potential 2019 Toyota Tundra, we see that the model is going to push the mark for about $500 to $1,000. This would make the new Tundra available at around $50,000, which would still make it competitive as other trucks start at 10,000 higher.

Rivaling Cars

This is one of the release we need a 2019 Toyota Tundra. Enhancing the competition in a segment is always a good thing. The Tundra has already been trumped by the competing vehicles in the segment. So it will do it a lot of good to update. Cars like the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado are considered as the top vehicles here. It would be very hard to remove them from the top.

A 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Spotted Recently

Recently there have been some emerging spy photos of a 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe model doing test runs. The latest crossover model from the Porsche’s garage has shown its colors and although still secretive it has been revealed that they are working on a new car. But in fact there is still loads of mystery surrounding this model. We are calling it a Coupe, but we are still not sure whether the name will stick around. The test mule looks like a Cayenne but is a lot sleeker and dawns also some Panamera elements to it. Whether this is an SUV or a redesign of the Cayenne it is still left to be determined, but as things go we are leaning towards a coupe model.

Porsche released its second-generation Cayenne cars in 2011 when the model crossed over to America. This also brought all the different trims levels with it as the car has been introduced in both Turbo S, GTS and even the hybrid form as well. In 2015 the first facelift came for the Cayenne model. It brought new engine types and some redesigns for the interior and the exterior. There was also an update in regards with the technology the car used. It also meant that we might expect to see a new-generation model sometimes after 2018.

But the spy photos do not show a new-generation Cayenne model. The body lines of the car do not confirm it and we are looking at something completely new. Rumors have it that this is there planned Porsche coupe which was planned for a release in 2016 but was later abandoned. The competition did not leave any favorable odds for the Porsche at the time, so we are probably looking at the first prototype of a coupe as the situation is more favorable this time.

The spy photos are showing us an awkward looking car which could be an SUV and is certainly not a new-generation Cayenne. But we are hard-pressed to say that this is a coupe version of the Porsche Cayenne model. This is an analysis on how the car might look like and how a coupe Cayenne model might fair in the segment.

Exterior Look of the Coupe

First of all, it is really hard to find the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe among the spy photos taken of the car. It does seem a little bit out of place but that is often the case with prototypes. They start looking pretty much awkwardly and end up being regular cars. This one looks like a mesh between a Cayenne and a Panamera. The side of the car, the roofline and the entire rear seem to have been taken from the sedan while the majority of the front is the same like in the Cayenne model. But this model has some elements which are added and not used for any of the two cars. Frist of all the wheelbase is shorter but the fenders are wider. Sider skirts are added for this model and the bumper also adds some more new elements.

Whether this is what we think it is, the potential Porsche Cayenne coupe is certainly going to borrow certain elements from the SUV model and the Panamera as well. Some apparent additions might include a roof spoiler or a trunk lid spoiler which will make things a little bit aggressive looking while the rear doors and the quarter windows are also going to get their own changes as well.

But also expected are some unique features for the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe. These might include a completely new redesigned bumper which could add massive air intakes and in the rear we can hope to get different taillights and a new kind of an exhaust system with a new design.

No Exact News for the Interior

The inside of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe remains the biggest mystery. But what we do get to see is the same kind of a look which you might see in a base Cayenne model. Since the last Cayenne received a facelift which happened recently, we can probably say that they are going to base it on that one. But if a new Cayenne models comes out in the meantime then some other things might come into the mix.

What we are expecting to get is a mixture of state of the art technology as well as some very soft and luxurious materials which are going to be incorporated into the car. It is going to be at least two years until the car comes out so some new technological pieces might come out until then and get to be offered. What we can also say for the interior is that it might become a lot sportier looking. We can hope for a lot of unique details that might concrete the steering wheel and the door panels as well.

Drivetrain Offers

When it comes to the engine choice, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe is going to take the powertrain choices from the base Cayenne model. They are probably not going to cause any additional strains here and are simply going to transfer the engines here and be done with it. It might also happen that they only borrow the range-topic engines and scrap the rest. So this means that the S trim might get a V-6 option which could have an output up to 400 horsepower. The Turbo and Turbo S versions will probably get the 4.8-liter V-8 with twin turbos, making 510 and 560 horsepower. We are also keeping the possibility of a diesel engine being on the table as well so it means a 4.1-liter V-6 one which makes 380 hp. Do not forget, Porsche is keen on hybrid powertrains recently so a 3.0-liter V-6 form the E-Hybrid model pared with an electric motor and making 410 horses is a very good possibility.

Price Tag

There is not telling how much the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe might cost, but if we are to base it on the price of the current Cayenne we might get an idea. The base MSRP of the outgoing Cayenne car is$59,600, which would mean that the upcoming coupe starts at $65,000 and reach $70,000 for the higher level S trim models. There is still a lot of time to go on so this might change completely.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Release Date

We are still quite early in the developing stage of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe model so there is no telling what might happen. We are hoping to see a model but it is not sure what they may decide to do in the end. The pictures are certainly not showing a new generation vehicles and although this is on its way the coupe might come before it. We are ever so hopeful for this car to appear.

The most suitable rivals which the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe may go against includes the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and the BMW X6. But since it is a first for this version of the Cayenne model it cannot be predicted how well they might fair in the segment.

Next-Gen 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Soon to Come

We are gearing closer and closer to an actual 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet model. Since the base model has also been announced, it does not take long for a drop top version to follow suit as well. The car has been spotted doing tests a couple of times and still with all those spy photos we are not certain what will come out of the new 911 Cabriolet. We do know that the latest facelift did a lot of good for the car but the initial design is getting stale. A next-gen design is just what the car needs and we are happy to report that it is coming.

What is already known and what the makers have already reported is that this car is going to be using the new modular platform which will add a lot of flexibility for the car and its driving potential. But this new architecture is not only important for Porsche as they are planning to use it for other brands as well. Porsche will also employ it on some other future projects as well and it will define the future lineup of Porsche cars which are to come.

As far as the engine goes, we are probably not going to get big changes. The latest facelift introduced an improvement under the hood so we are probably not going to get another one this soon. What we might get is a hybrid powertrain on the other hand. Porsche is known for being a company which is slowly going towards being green and a number of cars have already made their debuts with a hybrid powertrain. These include the Panamera and Cayenne models and we might see the 911 Cabriolet do the same soon.

The information about the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet is still fresh and there are not a whole lot of things that we can go on. So we are giving you some potential looks and designs of the car and we bring you the initial estimations which the vehicle might come with.

2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Exterior Design

The look of the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet has not been established completely. It is still not finished and we are expecting more information soon. But as the spy photos have been coming out since 2016, more and more layers of the outside have been peeled off. Now we can finally see that they are going for an evolutionary design which will see half of the current car kept with the rest of it being new.

The key new features that we are receiving here include new LED headlamps and there is also a new trunk lid for the front end of the car. The front part of the car will also go through some design changes and some that we are able to see include a nose which is very much reminiscent of the one on the original 911 but the vents are the same as in the outgoing model. This might change for the production version as they may decide to make new and unique ones.

The rear part of the car does not seem to be changed so much. There are some modifications that are made towards the rear fenders but a lot of it remains unchanged. This will also change as the production vehicle draws closer and we can expect so body panels to be added.

The rear end will equally add new features which include slimmer taillights and the retractable spoiler is going to be larger compared to before and will extend just towards the taillights area. Other revisions are seen in the rear bumper and the hood grille. But for now there is too much camo to discern anything else but we know that we are getting a swell new car.

2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Interior

Although there is not much known for the interior of the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet model, we feel that this part might be very much important for the next-gen 911 models. First of all, this is where they could make the car much more different compared to the outgoing model. They are sure to add changes and elements which might distinguish them apart. Secondly, this is what will draw the crowds to the brand even more as they might show how serious they are with their new designs and how well they are planning to make their new cars.

What we expect is a completely new design for the dashboard and the center console. The button layout will be ergonomic and the new instrument cluster will offer more information about the car and bring easier access to the controls. Finally the steering wheel is going to receive a sporty upgrade.

Porsche is already working on their brand new infotainment system and we can expect to see it make an appearance right here. It will offer more connectivity and overall more convenience. As for the comfort of the driver and the passengers we can expect better materials than in the current one for the seats and generally everywhere within the car.

Unfortunately, there are no confirmations about which powertrain the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet will use. We know that both the convertible and the coupe are going to share engines, but they have not made them public still. The only confirmations for now are regarding the Carrera and the Carrera S which are using a 3.0-liter, inline-six engine. These versions might make 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of twist or 420 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.

On the other hand, we still do not know which powertrain the 911 Turbo version and the Turbo S use. The current engine is the twin-turbo 3.8-liter boxer-six, but it may just as well happen that they decide to use a completely different engine. The current output comes to 580 hp for the Turbo S model.

The most interesting news is regarding a hybrid version. It would make it the first 911 model to carry an electronic motor. But they are currently not sure which engine would fit the setup as the one in the Cayenne and the Panamera model is not suitable while using a V-8 is too large for the car to pack in. Perhaps the most viable option is that they decide to create a powertrain of their own and that way make a suitable hybrid option.

We might also get to see a first-ever all-electric Porsche car, but since battery technology is still not at a favorable level this might only happen in a distant future.

2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Price

It is safe to assume that the prices of the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet will go up compared to the current car. But we are still not sure by how much. There is still a long time to go until the release of the car but we can base it only on the current lineup of cars. Everything starts with the Cabrio which is priced at $101,700, the Carrera 4 is offered for $108,600 while the Carrera S comes at $115,700. The Carrera 4S is being offered at $122,600, the 4 GTS is $138,200, the Turbo is $171,500 and the most expensive is still the Turbo S with a base MSRP of $200,400. We are expecting a price increase of about $4,000 to $8,000 for the 2019 version.

The newest about the 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet is still very fresh and a lot of things have to be confirmed as well. We can only hope that the released date comes sooner and that we do get to see the car by 2019. The redesign is going to remain an evolution of the current look but more changes are going to happen on the inside. Also, we expect the most excitement from the powertrain which will probably add something new for us to get excited about.

The list of rivals which we can consider coming against the future 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet is not as wide as it includes only cars like the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster and the McLaren 570S Spider.
