2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Release Date and Specs

Published

on

The new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited offers tons of reasons as to why it should appear on your short shopping list, however, there are also significant foibles that you should be weary of too. It is characterful, engaging, capable off-roader, and a downright all-American SUV. Furthermore, the new model boasts of unique features such as its seriousness in off-roading, fun-to-drive character, and an unmistakable styling. Here in this review you get an all-rounded approach to anything that pertains the Wrangler Unlimited such as its release date, price, interior and exterior facets, and specifications for the engine.

But in the midst of all these praise for this unabashedly all-American SUV lurks some negative idiosyncrasies that we think any potential buyer should be weary of before making that order. For one, the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited offers poor crash test scores. In fact, the government offers the model four stars for overall crash test score for overall crash impact. The ride quality is busy especially on the highway. The convertible operation is cumbersome. And the interior lacks adequate sound deafening materials to insulate the occupants.

While the list of foibles explained above reads like we are talking of a model designed three decades ago, the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited isn’t any different from its predecessors. It has continued to thrive in this hot-rod segment that features some of the top dogs in the segment thanks to its illustrious history that revolves around its off-road superiority. In fact, no other vehicle in this class can actually manage to rival its off-road prowess.

Aside from its unstoppable-at-the-trail trait, the Wrangler Unlimited 2021 offers a unique exterior and interior styling. Again, its mechanical underpinnings that are still traditional make it a fun-to-drive vehicle.

When it comes to which powertrain lurks under its hood, Jeep says buyers should expect the familiar 3.6L V6 engine that cranks out a whopping 285 hp and 260 lbs. ft. of torque. Also available is a standard four-wheel-drive system. Fuel economy is rather meagre and stands at 18 mpg in combined highway/city cruising.

When it comes to the available competition, the Wrangler Unlimited enjoys the lack of it. In fact, the only vehicles that it can square it out with include the Toyota FJ, and the Nissan Xterra.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Release Date & Price

According to Jeep, expect the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to go for sale sometime in the second half of 2021. Pricing is yet to be announced, however, credible reports say the new model will cost almost similarly to the current model that has an asking MSRP of $28,195.

Now, both the lights are offered with a standard LED technology. Optionally available are powerful bi-xenon headlights that offer superior illumination good for lighting up dark trails. Although unconfirmed, rumors are rife that the exterior paint has also been reshuffled. Some more exterior features include sixteen-inch wheels, skid plates, full metal doors, a full-size spare tire, and a bigger gas tank than that on the regular Wrangler model.

When it comes to the interior, the new Wrangler Unlimited distinguishes itself in a number of areas. First, the interior unlike the previous one, has been redesigned and is now slightly refined than the outgoing model’s. It is a host to a number of standard features and technologies that were previously unavailable on the outgoing model. Optional features, too, are in plenty for those who don’t mind spending an extra above the cost of the vehicle. Some of the accessories you can wait for include cruise control, an auxiliary audio jack, a height-adjustable driver seat, a CD player, dual-zone automatic climate control, a USB port, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a media player interface.

By

The new 2021 Cadillac CT6 is a compelling value among leading luxury sedans with its generous passenger space, competitive price, efficient and responsive engine, and an engaging driving experience. Rumors have been circulating in the segment for a while now that Cadillac is building an even high-end sedan that is slated to one of the world’s best. Apparently, Cadillac hasn’t refuted or substantiated the claims yet, but as things stand – there “must” be something cooking on the other side of the veil. And as they say, “Only time will tell.”

2021 Jeep Renegade Release Date, Specs and Info

Published

By

The new 2021 Jeep Renegade is certainly one of the few models from Jeep that has actually embraced a styling and playfulness evolution. It’s practical and rewarding to drive. Some of its attributed include easy-to-use technology interface, lots of character, and best-in-class off-road capability. Its release date should be expected during the 3rd Q of 2021.

2021 Jeep Renegade white color, grille

The 2021 Renegade will for the first time come equipped with a nifty removable cargo light on both the Trailhawk and Limited trims, new automatic wipers, and a new premium audio option.

When the vehicle debuted two years ago, some Jeep critics and enthusiasts were quick to air their concerns on whether the badge of a manufacturer built on a reputation of unquestionable off-road capability could be worn by a subcompact crossover. The skepticism was further fuelled by the fact that Jeep has a reputation of building underwhelming small crossovers like the Patriot and Compass.

But with a long-term Renegade Trailhawk in our fleet and several road tests under our belts, we can therefore conclude that those fears are unfounded. The Jeep Renegade for 2021 is an excellent subcompact crossover that comes with an off-road athleticism, an easy and fun to drive character, and a fairly comfortable cabin.

However, the Renegade disappoints on several fronts including but not limited to a middling fuel economy rating, intrusive wind noise, clunky and confused automatic transmission system, limited cargo capacity, and tight rear-seat legroom. Well, if you can’t live with this shortcomings, there are several other options worth considering. They include the 2021 Honda HR-V, the 2021 Fiat 500X, the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, and the 2021 Mazda CX-3.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC Release Date, Specs & Info

Published

on

By

The new 2021 Pagani Huayra BC is a testament to Pagani’s innovation and technical solutions for future models. Every part of the vehicle is as a result of innovative changes that makes it achieve a completely different personality to that of the Huayra Coupe. According to Pagani, the 2021 Pagani Huayra BC design has been inspired by its “track focused” predecessors – the Zonda Cinque and the Pagani Zonda R, as it was initially conceived to be a daily driving car that gives maximum performance and exhilaration during special days and track days. Its release date has been set for early 2021. Read on to read what to expect.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC exterior, side angle, alloy wheels

First things first, what does “BC” actually mean? Apparently, “BC” represents the initials Benny Caiola – the first person to buy a Pagani Automobile. He was so impressed by the cars Horacio Pagani was making over the years. Pagani Automobile has grown over the years to curve its own niche by introducing a combination of electric motor and combustion engine, and introducing hybrid propulsion.

Furthermore, Pagani Automobiles takes pride in its areas of technological areas of development that involve creating the lightest, globally homologated, Hypercar; developing a completely new Automated Manual Transmission by paying attention to both comfort and performance without compromising the balance and weight of the car; and developing suspension and chassis systems derived from motorspot to deliver a secure and dynamic car while retaining the comfort of a typical Pagani car.

Motivation comes from a 6.0L V12 engine rated at 750 horsepower and 738 pounds-ft. of torque. Rumors also allege that the V12 mill can get up to 789 horsepower and 811 pounds feet of torque. While 0-60 mph figure is still a mystery, as of this writing, it is expected that it’ll achieve the speed in just 2.7 seconds given the standard Huayra can hit 60 mph in just three seconds.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC exterior, overhead view

The only competition that seems to raffle the feathers of the 2021 Pagani Huayra BC the bad way is the recently redesigned 2021 Bugatti Chiron. Power for the Chiron comes from a quad-turbocharged 8.0L W16 engine that makes a whopping 1,500 horsepower. With all this power generated beneath the hood, the Chiron 0-60 mph takes around 2.5 seconds, and goes on to achieve a top speed of 286 mph. And yet, the Bugatti costs far less than the 2021 Pagani Huayra BC.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC Release Date & Price

2021 Pagani Huayra BC release date

According to Pagani, the new Huayra BC will cost around $3M, given the engine and aerodynamic enhancements it gets over the stock Huayra that costs $1M less. Only 20 units of these vehicles will be built and will only be sold to existing owners. Its release date, as already mentioned, should be expected sometime in early 2021.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC front angle, headlights and grille

Inspired by the track-focused Zonda Cinque and the Zonda R, the new Huayra BC comes with exterior aerodynamic cues similar to those of its predecessors. It comes with a revised rear diffuser and a massive wing that stretches from one end of the bumper to the other. Up front, the fascia has been redesigned, with the diffuser being new. Further aback, Pagani was able to achieve improved down force thanks to the pair of spoilers beneath. The wheels, and side skirts, too, are new.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC rear angle, taillights and tailpipe

Aerodynamics cues have been redesigned. Up front, the air inlets are larger, and the race-spec canards and splitter assertive. There’s extensive use of carbon fiber especially on the engine lid, roof, and front hood. Racing stripes are colored blue and white, but certain reports say additional color choices will also be offered.

2021 Pagani Huayra BC Interior

2021 Pagani Huayra BC interior, dashboard and lcd screen

According to Pagani, the new Huayra BC was built with a racing emphasis and weight savings in mind. And even so, the brand has also achieved quite some significant firsts when it comes to the exterior aesthetics. While many details are still under wraps, Pagani has confirmed several details such as – Black Anthracite cabin color, and a suede and leather steering wheel.

And just like any Huayra out there, there’re acres of aluminum, carbon fiber, and fine Alcantara inserts.

Available Trims

The new 2021 Pagani Huayra BC is only available in one well-equipped trim level.

Engine Specs

2021 Pagani Huayra BC engine

As aforementioned, the new 2021 Pagani Huayra BC will come with a 750-horsepower – generating 6.0L V-12 engine. Other reports say it can crank out 39 horsepower more, thereby outing its total output to around 789 horsepower – 60 more horsepower than the standard Huayra.

Safety

2021 Pagani Huayra BC interior, steering wheel

With a 0-60 mph acceleration taking around 2.7 seconds, it is only natural for the automaker to offer it with a smorgasbord of safety and driver-assisting technologies. Though unconfirmed, the new Pagani Huayra BC will come with the same technologies that the standard model comes with. Government crash impact assessment results will be offered on its release date.
