So the given update further emphasis the importance of this vehicle.

After other Volvo models getting their own respective release dates, it is finally time to announce the 2019 Volvo XC40. This model is going to be out by 2018, but unfortunately no details on exactly when. We can probably assume that we are going to see it in the later part of the year. It is still a 2019 model and is one of the important parts of the Volvo lineup as it manages to complete it instantly.

What is the Price of the 2019 Volvo XC40?

Unfortunately, besides the release date of the 2019 Volvo XC40 we are also waiting to see the price of the vehicle. The current model does not have a high pricing. It is quite a usual kind of a price tag for the model. But the question is, will it go beyond that. The vehicle is now available at $33,200, as an entry price while all-wheel versions have the price of $35,200. There is no doubt that this figure will rise. However, the question still remains by how much. We are still hoping to get a suitable price which will satisfy the market. More on that will be known within the coming months.

Newest Rumors about the 2019 Volvo XC40

It is not a secret that the 2019 Volvo XC40 will use the company’s all-new CMA. But there were rumors that they were supposed to change this completely. Although the platform is updated, much of the people thought that there was a completely new one in the making. This is still not being made and it only remains as a rumors which turned out to be false. But what is not false is the amount of updates the XC40 is getting inside and in terms of technology. This is probably going to be one of the more modern cars that comes out of the Volvo workshop. It is a very useful model so it pays of having it completely stacked and prepared.

2019 Volvo XC40 Exterior Changes

They newest 2019 Volvo XC40 will use the company’s latest design language. This type of a design was first introduced for the XC90 SUV and will be used across the board for the upcoming vehicles. What you are getting here are many similar elements which will be shrunken down in order to fit the design needed for the newest XC40 model. S basically, if you look at the vehicle from the front you will see a shrunken version of the XC90 model. The difference is seen from the side, which does not only come based on the size. The 2019 Volvo XC40 is going to adopt a more rugged look. There are stylish elements which upgrade the car even further and creases that help the car’s demeanor.

The rear end of the car includes the same and familiar kind of taillights seen before. The upper arm of the lights is climbing towards the window across the roof pillar and connects to the roof that way. This is a nice touch as it helps to integrate a staple of the XC40 models in the newest design language of the future SUVs coming from Volvo. The final verdict states that this car is quite appealing and looks very much modern. It is not muscular as some other vehicles from the segment are and it also does not go overboard with overcomplicating things.

What about the Color Choices for the 2019 Volvo XC40?

Updating the 2019 XC40 has been done pretty well. Probably the most interesting part of the car is its exterior. With that exterior come some new elements and equipment. 20-inch alloy wheels for the R-Design Pro, 19-inch bespoke wheels for the Inscription Pro and 21-inch ones for the R-Design model are just some pieces which you will care about.

But the aesthetics will be made with the new color choices. There has been an announcement that they are going to update this part as well and it is expected that the car adds many new offers. It has been confirmed that new colors should be expected but it only remains to be seen which ones.

Dimensions and Size of the 2019 Volvo XC40

The new 2019 Volvo XC40 will boast similar dimensions as its forerunner. The car will be positioned in the compact-SUV class of vehicles, so you can get an idea how big the car should be. The actual specifications are still not released and we are waiting on them. The fact is that no matter the size of the exterior, the interior will most likely be fitted with a flexible setup that will allow you to reconfigure the way you postponed the passengers.

This means that even though the car is on the smallish side, there will still be enough room to maneuver and feel comfortable there. We can expect the dimensions to be very similar to before and any changes that do come are not going to affect the entire car too much.

Is the Interior Design of the 2019 Volvo XC40 Going to be Extensive?

The interior of the 2019 Volvo XC40 will once again borrow from its bigger brothers. The newest type of a design that is seen in the upcoming Volvo cars is enough to give us a clue on how the future XC40 is going to look like. Of course, in this car everything is smaller but fairly similar. There are some unique touches though which are going to be available for this car only.

The center console is pretty wide and the center stack has an enormous screen. Also added is the 12.3-inch, digital instrument cluster which is going to be standard for every trim. Unfortunately, the materials in the base model are not fancy at all. But the advantage is that it does have pretty good standard equipment for it. Upgrading to higher trims will of course give you a whole lot to choose from, both on the technological side and the comfort specter.

2019 Volvo XC40 Engine Specs

The 2019 Volvo XC40 is following the trend of every other Volvo vehicle in the lineup. That is to change the standard engines with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder model. This has already been done for the previous cars like XC90, S90 and V9. Thus the global market buyers will be offered with a T3 model rated at 156 horsepower, a T4 model which outputs 190 horsepower, the T5 with 247 horsepower. The latter two will come with an AWD system and an automatic gearbox.

There are also going to be two diesel options offered. The D3 comes with 150 horsepower while the D4 enables 190 horsepower. The entry level choices is available with either front- or all-while drive but the D4 is an AWD model only.

Top Speed and 0-60 Acceleration

With the current set of information available for the 2019 Volvo XC40, the model is going to have decent acceleration specs. Based on the currently released stats and the fact that the vehicle is still to make certain things public, it is estimated that there is not going to be a big discrepancy with the acceleration and top speed when compared to the previous model. The current car is able to reach 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds, which is pretty much okay. The top speed is a standard one and it is 155 mph. The vehicle is not going to go overboard too much with the current set of specs and it does that they do not make too big of strides.

Is the Fuel Economy of the 2019 Volvo XC40 Going to Change?

Official information about the fuel economy of the 2019 Volvo XC40 are still not out. Based on the changes that we are familiar with so far, it does not seem that this is their priority. The updated version of the 2019 Volvo XC40 is mainly focusing on the aesthetics and the comfort. Safety is also a big concern. But coming to the fuel usage, the numbers will continue from before. But since this is a smaller model in the Volvo lineup, it is going to be pretty efficient. In addition, it will not go too much over the limit to what the buyers are used to.
